First race of the year so I am going to partake. This is the type of race where leverage is typically key.
Insight tables
I am seeing Ryan Preece project well for me. That reason may be just because of where he is starting - and I like that because I want at least 4 guys starting from 20th and beyond today, where he starts 20th. Hamlin is the chalk and highest ownership at 18th. Im ok to fade that. The killer play for leverage is Alex Bowman starting 1st. It has happened before where the leader wins the race but yet wasnt optimal so that one at 1% ownership is milli maker worthy, but not something I would feel good about personally. If he wrecks you are more than likely seeing negative points. Kyle Larson is the same way, but if either win and dominate the whole thing, perhaps that is a low owned scenario that could win.
Leverage spots
It seems that the 20s to 30s have several under owned drivers starting with Preece. Gragson, Suarez and Stenhouse are those drivers who typically have cost me money as well so I understand that.
Summary
I will likely have 1 guy in the top 10, 0-1 in the 10-19 range and then the other 4 anywhere beyond that. I dont like drivers who start next to each other in a race so always will have space. I am also planning to leave lots of salary on the table this week. Good luck!
