DFS PGA Odds and Leverage for Draftkings - RBC Heritage 2023

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

Now that we have passed the Masters, we must think about how players will bounce back or - just bounce (aka Rory) this week. Lets look at how things are shaping out early today.

Odds vs Leverage

Updated:Spaun, Mccarthy and Clark remain in the final update at the cheap side. I find myself trusting Rahm less after the Masters and will start fading him despite the leverage. Spieth and Morikawa look to be the most interesting yet Scheffler is in play too.

Updated: So JJ Spaun, Denny and Henley all creeping up on the cheap side of things while Cantlay and Schef both on the top end for top ownership.

My first view of potential plays (filtered down) indicate that Scottie even at high ownership might be considered underowned. Need to check back in on that as we get closer tonight. With dogleg holes and trees to avoid, accuracy is going to be what we all target this week. What I like to target are green dots so lets see how they pan out.

Actual wins vs Expected

I'm glad I was on Rahm last week because he has now reached fade territory for me until further notice. Scottie, Nick Taylor and Cantlay are all the main contenders that I think are due a win.

Last 5 Results

Looking at how the last 5 years have played here, I think its safe to say that Cantlay is the best play on the board this week. He is playing well and has finished well at this course in the past, with some of the highest strokes gained . Shane Lowry is also interesting here. Kuchar and Webb Simpson also have gained strokes here at the highest of levels.

Leverage

As we saw last week, check back tonight for the most updated data here. Schef and Cantlay and Xander are all strong starting spots. Mcnealy and Montgomery are highly optimal vs their expected ownership.

Course Fits

Datagolf has this cool graph to show the required skill sets. As mentioned accuracy is key, and driving distance is absolutely not important due to them dog legs. Putting isnt quite as important either, but around the green play (scrambling etc) and approach play will help get ahead in this field.

Check back later for updates as time permits!
