Draftkings Lineup Review - US Open Data Recap - 2022

Hate to see it, a guy who was associated to a draftkings cheating scandal in the past is now seen mopping the floor with our draftkings dollars. I guess it makes me happy that I didnt enter the milli maker knowing he was in it. However lets get to the review!

Starting with the same chart I normally produce weekly, the first insight, is that 4 of the guys - one in each price point could have made for a great lineup if this was your core to begin with. As mentioned, Scheffler was back in play this week at his ownership projection. Him and Fitzpatrick played this course as amatuers where Fitzpatrick won it. That pairing is totally reachable.

One regret I have is that I didnt remove the Liv players from the pool (Dustin Johnson, Louie Oost, etc) as that would have changed things in this view.

I went ahead and pulled performance stats for all categories. In majors, you typically need to be good across the board. So what would have happened if I only kept positive SG guys? Perhaps we get to Fitz/Schef as a combo. We would also avoid Rahm/Cam Smith/Homa due to their loss of SG. And we possibly see Sam Burns is a better play all at the same time.

Finally, we have this view of recent history where we can see most of the top of this list has done well in the tournament. Going into next year, we can easily say that recent form was a good indicator again towards the results.

Top winning lineup overall was in the milli maker. I wont speculate much on how 'he' ends up in this spot (or whether he has to split his winnings with anyone else :p ), but I will say the top 3 names on this list made a lotta sense to target in hindsight.

He would have been beaten by this lineup, the optimal, with 400 to spare in salary. Good luck next week!
