Maximizing Your Winning Potential: NFL Showdown Strategy Guide for Draftkings and Fanduel Tournament Play - Saints vs Rams 2023

Updated: Dec 21, 2023

Well it seems we have another opportunity to win some big money by parlaying our players the right way. Lets determine how to build for the potential game script while leaving ourselves an edge!

Salary vs Expectations

Kyren has been floating atop of this chart for some time now. I see he is top owned and top price, next to Kupp at less ownership but also less workload when looking over 5 weeks. I do believe Kupp has been trending upwards though if looking at 2 or 3 weeks back so that is something to watch. Stafford workload has also been second highest, over Kamara, who has benefited from Hill being out a couple weeks. On the cheap end, you have long shot Jimmy G (Graham heh). showing as a potential value for his price. He is like catching touchdowns about 50% of his receptions which tells you all you need to know about his risk level.

Vegas Projections

I have a projection landing at 24-24 tie hah. That means that the saints might just cover the spread and bring more value to the table as underdogs. Therefore I am interested to see what Saints make the most sense tonight if stacking 4 from one side of the ball (which I do every week). If both teams hit their projected total, the game may also go over the impled 46.5 but just a tad.

Game Script

Both of these teams are likely to try and run the ball vs weaker run defenses. However there is more value in the Saints passing tonight vs a weaker pass defense in the Rams. Neither QB in a ton of great shape for passing but I'd say Carr's situation is better if he is healthy.

Defense vs Receivers

The funnel points at WR2 for the Rams having the best shot. Volume wise it looks like Kupp but that could also be Puka based on what we saw last week. Then on the Saints side, WR1 and 2 are ok to target, but the TE seems to have the best path to points.

When LA has the ball:

Stafford is showing decent leverage at captain, granted it doesnt quite match the projected game script. So that could end up being bad leverage but I'm going to play one. Kyren has enough workload to be an unleveraged captain which would mean you would want a Tutu/Royce/or Davis Allen type play to offset that. None super good looking but highly leveraged in the flex.

Note: Ronnie Rivers is now showing massive leverage in the Flex.

When NO has the ball:

Carr, Olave and Hill all show as potential captain leverage plays today, with a decent amount of leverage on Carr. Good luck!
