What are we workin with today?
Michigan International Speedway is 2 mile (3.2 km) long and a 400 mile race that requires 200 laps to complete. With 140 dominator points available we will be looking at guys who are starting close to the front for some of our plays. Also expecting some wrecks here as roughly 17% of the field has not finished the race over the course of the last 5 yrs.
4 key leverage plays to watch out for: Chase, Larson, Reddick and Hill (?). All have some form of potential and a path to points. The question of the day to me is whether or not I have to take Reddick or Blaney in my primary lineup. I dont know anything about Austin Hill - but starting at 31st, if he is the best driver in the cheap range, just maybe he finishes well for no ownership. Harrison Burton is also lurking in that region for place differential plays.
Ryan Blaney is interesting and so is Chase in this range. I'd say Larson as well but he just hasnt been very good this year for the price. I think Chase had a better practice as well.
Potential pivot spaces here. Kyle Busch has the most upside on the slate and therefore the most ownership. Chase and Larson have the highest odds so there is potential pivot opportunity up top although the one I am most interested in staying away from is Bubba Wallace. I dont see a reason to go there personally, although I could be wrong. Starting on the pole, he might just lead enough laps but - at 40% ownership potentially, its an easy fade.
