NFL Odds and Leverage for Draftkings - MNF Packers vs Raiders - Oct 2023

Interesting game tonight! Just got some insider information that mentions the Golden Knights are planning to light the pregame torch and that Too Short and Warren G are performing at halftime. Will that help the Raiders win tonight? Lets find out!

Opportunity vs Salary

Trying to get an idea of who has had the most opportunity to score points vs their salary for the night. Opportunity is based on how far above the trend line the player's dot sits and Adams clearly has had the most opportunity for points thus far. He holds the revenge narrative and I expect him to be the highest owned and priced as well. Aaron Jones is out and that probably puts extra emphasis on the GB passing game.

On the cheaper end, I see Wicks is showing 10% ownership but also has the most upside of the cheapest guys. At that ownership I start thinking about going away from him if possible, because cheap guys are not likely to see a ton of points as it is and the only reason to go there is to be unique. Hooper is also down there but showing 12% ownership.

As it stands GB is going underowned per their odds of success so I'm leaning GB to begin.

Vegas

I project the game to go over its implied total but that doesnt account for weather or injuries. I also have GB scheduled to cover and win outright. It will be interesting to see the impact of not having Jones today ends up being.

Defense vs Receivers

Both teams give up points to the WR1 which makes the QBs viable. The passing situation overall favors Green Bay more than the Raiders.

When GB has the ball:

Final Update:

Seems Christian Watson is becoming more of a leverage play at captain than the previous update. Could just about see the same for Jordan Love but Watson looks a bit stronger there. Patrick Taylor also still the strong leverage at RB. Theres a case where Dillion doesnt reach value but it is difficult to see a world where Taylor does not at 200. Thats like 1 catch and 10 yards.

Update: In our first update, I am seeing some leverage on Jayden Reed, wr3 as a captain play with leverage. Also on Musgrave the TE. In the flex, Patrick Taylor is some deep flex that might make sense if you think Dillion sucks or gets hurt. Hes 200 and I doubt Reed gets the full load anyways.

When LV has the ball:

Updated:

The captain choice here is pretty strong on Jimmy G. I wont play him in the flex at all but will take a stand and let him roll with Adams and Jacobs, who have strong usage. Jakobi also has high usage too, but tough to fit all 4. If they win though.. just maybe those 4 are the key.

Jimmy G has a good chance of being a viable captain play as of now, but this is something I'd probably check back on later for updates. Maybe it makes more sense to avoid him and play 2 Raiders in the flex. If you think GB falls apart after Warran G regulates the halftime show, then maybe the Raiders D is the captain play that no one wants to make. Otherwise Hooper seems interesting in the flex for max leverage.
